Hi, I'm Richard, founder of Easy P's Driving Academy.

Learning to drive is one of life's biggest milestones, and choosing the right instructor can make all the difference.

My goal is to help every learner become a safe, confident, and capable driver in a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

As a qualified Certificate IV Motor Vehicle Driver Training Instructor and Department of Transport WA Approved, I bring more than 25

years of professional experience instructing, supervising, mentoring, and developing drivers across the transport, construction, aviation, and oil & gas industries.

My career has been built on promoting the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and driver competency in some of Australia's most demanding environments, giving parents and learners the confidence that every lesson is delivered with experience, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to developing safe, responsible drivers for life.

I've worked with motorcycles, cars, trucks, heavy machinery, and specialised equipment in high-risk environments where safety is always the highest priority.

That experience has taught me that every learner is different. Some need to build confidence, others need to overcome anxiety, and many simply need someone who is patient, encouraging, and believes in them. That's exactly how I teach.

Supervisor Driving Package

Our Supervised Driving Package is a cost-effective way for learner drivers to gain valuable experience behind the wheel while working towards their required supervised driving hours.

Conducted in our dual-control vehicle, each drive provides a safe and supportive environment where learners can develop good driving habits, increase their experience in a variety of traffic conditions, and become more confident behind the wheel.

This package is also an excellent solution for families where parents or friends are unable to assist with supervised driving hours due to work commitments, time constraints, confidence, or simply not having access to a suitable vehicle. Student Mentoring Sessions

Our Student Mentoring Sessions are designed for learners who want to go beyond simply completing their required driving hours. These sessions focus on developing the judgement, awareness, and decision-making skills needed to become a safe, confident, and independent driver for life.

Unlike traditional supervised driving, mentoring sessions provide ongoing coaching that helps learners recognise hazards earlier, anticipate the actions of other road users, and make safe decisions in a wide range of real-world situations.

Every drive is an opportunity to strengthen confidence, improve vehicle control, and develop the mindset of a responsible driver.

To build well-rounded driving experience, learners are encouraged to complete a variety of driving conditions, including daytime, night-time, wet weather, busy traffic, country roads, and freeway driving. This broad exposure prepares them for the many situations they will encounter long after they have earned their licence.

Instructor lessons

These Instructor lessons teach you the skills you need to drive safely in most driving conditions. It includes hours of in-car training. Each lesson build on your driving experiences as you now prepare for the practical driving assessment. The lessons are designed to be in car with real world scenarios that a Department of Transport (DoT) assessor will test you on.

We specifically design each lesson to show the learner how good they actually are and how much they have progressed. Lessons are tailored to the individual minus the pressure of assessment conditions.
